Nate's Political Rantings!

Posted by California Banry's in

I've not been as politically involved this election as I have in the past, aside from the Yes on Prop 8 campaign. This is due mainly to the fact that I'm not "super" excited about the Republican candidate, John McCain. Don't get me wrong, I'm a die hard Republican, and for good reason. Being a Mormon and being a cop, there is nothing good offered by the liberal left Democrats. This is the first of a few "rantings" I plan on posting, all because I believe I have some close friends and family members who are being "lead astray". I don't mean to offend anyone, but know this is too important to let go.

TV Generation

There is no doubt this is the MTV Generation. What I mean by that is people have forgotten how to think for themselves. They believe whatever the TV tells them to believe. TV is not the place to obtain correct unbiased direction. There are very few, maybe no, unbiased programs on TV. Most are liberal in their method and manner of providing what they call the news. And yet we take it as the gospel, even when it goes against everything we hold dear. Because it's on TV doesn't make it true. I've spent 15 years hating the media here in LA. For them it's all about making money. How hard is that to understand. They don't care about telling you the truth, as long as you watch. Tell lies about the LAPD because that brings in viewers. They know they can control this election, and they're proving it.

John McCain

I mentioned I was not excited about John McCain. That doesn't mean I don't like him, or wont vote for him. John McCain has my vote, I just feel there were others who shared more of my views. Although McCain doesn't share all these views, he's acceptable. What's not acceptable is Barack Obama. I've yet to find one issue he stands for that I agree with. Oh, he can talk. He's very charismatic. He's done a wonderful job of flattering America. The greatest deceiver of all time stole 1/3 of our brothers and sisters from Heaven too. Just because he said it, or the liberal media says it, doesn't make it so. Romney's out, so John McCain is the best bet for America now. Obama is the most liberal senetor in Washington. That's proven by his voting record. Since he began running for President his spoken views have changed. Why? Because a liberal can't get elected, but a moderate can.

What to do?

Do your own research. Don't beleive what the TV tells you to beleive. Know that this is important. The great Roman Empire fell because of corruption in their once great government. The Nephite Empire fell for the same reason. If anyone thinks that can't happen to us, you're in for a rude awakening.

Here are some site/articles that might help.

Barack Obama's Voting Record (You want to know a politician you check his voting record, not the lies coming out of his mouth.)

EXACTLY my feelings. I was struggling to put into words my thoughts on McCain, and you summed it up nicely. Everything you said is right on. Unfortunately, my dad is one of those people who listens to the media and takes it as gospel. I wish people would wake up and realize that.

Did you see that video on youtube of Biden getting grilled by a Florida news anchor? Channel 9 news actually had them REMOVE the video based on copy right infringement. Can you believe that!? Would they have done that if it was McCain or Bush getting grilled? HECK NO!

Infinity kudos.

Nate, I did some more research and...now I dislike McCain even more. I can't stand him, he's morally bankrupt, he's a loose canon. He's the same crap we've had for years. However, he is the GOP nominee, he stands more on the side I do morally. I do not agree with half the stuff he says. I think he picked terribly for a VP. Yet, the biggest reason he will get my vote is the Supreme Court. In the next eight years there could be many changes there. The judicial branch of our Govt. has more power than the Executive. Conversely, the Executive seats the Judicial. It is one of the fefw things a President can do.

If we, in California, have learned anything over this Prop 8 stuff...it is that judges can wipe out the will of the people. If we bench more liberal judges in the next 8 years, we as conservatives or even moderates are toast! This is the biggest reason for me to overlook my despise of McCain.

Sadly, we live in a Deomocratic state and our vote is not going anywhere. All the electoral's for CA will go to Obama.
So, these are my rants;-D
