I'm in Utah right now with this little sweetie. This is my new niece born Wednesday, May 21st. She was born at 4:26pm. She weighed 7lbs. and was 181/2 in. long. I got to spend the first night with my sister in the hospital because her hubby needed to be with her four and two year old. So...I got to feed GG and snuggle her all night long. That's the way to have a baby! Lauren is doing better tonight (Thursday). She hemorrhaged and had a hard night last night and a hard day today. She's got a beautiful little angel in the end.
My cute little family made me a lovely breakfast of Clarissa's buttermilk flapjacks (you'll never eat boxed pancake mix again), sliced strawberries and fresh whipped cream (Nate's specialty). Notice my flapjack is a heart. Maryn made me 6 cards (they are all there around my plate). They make me so happy to be their mommy! Daddy, thank you for working so hard to let me be home with them. It's such a blessing to me. I love you my big girls, my little people and my boy!

Here she is at the cutest little kindy show! We put pink sparkles on her eyelids. She's with her favorite friend Morgyn. The kids sang all kinds of numbers songs and then some songs about letters and how much fun they had in kindergarden. Mommy and 3 other mommys (Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Hong and Mrs. Frank) made the back drop and we got front row seats as a thank you. It was really fun. She's off to first grade now!
Here's Chayse playing Lady Larken in her school play, "Once Upon a Mattress". Didn't she do a great job! Sir Harry's microphone didn't work so well. You can hardly hear him.
This past week was filled with performances from all three of our girls. Stay tuned for pictures and maybe even some clips from the shows. (If I can figure out how Nate does that!)

We love our mothers so much; Joliene Marie and Sandra Jean. We are so thankful for all they have done for us; for loving us, for being wonderful examples to us but most of all for being our friends. Our moms are the best! We wish you a Happy Mothers Day here and in heaven! "A mother holds her childs hand for a while, their hearts forever!"
So I just finished Twilight, and I gotta tell you, I'm not impressed. This is the first book in a series written by Stephenie Meyer, which is a blockbuster of a book, for woman and girls. Don't get me wrong, Stephenie can write, for woman and girls. She puts so much emotional details into her writing that I want to puke. I never did get to a point where I liked Edward, but I did like Emmett. Why you ask? Cause Emmett is the only real man in the book. He's the only vampire who wants to fight to protect Bella. So I said to myself, "Come on Stephenie, let Emmett kill the bad guy". By the way, the bad guy is James. Then, right when I think it might get good, and we'll see (since reading really is seeing in our heads) Emmett tear James to pieces, all we get is the smell of gas and later a burning building. The only "fight scene" was poor Bella being attacked by the big bad James. Whatever happened to revenge sequences? Come on Stephenie! I also thought most of the sissy kissy stuff was kinda...warped. Anyway, Stephenie can obviously write. Since she's sold millions of books it's obvious she knows her audience. My girls LOVE the book and Edward, but it's really not for me. Oh, and any man that liked the book...check yourself. And if you feel I didn't like it because I can't relate...lets see...I'm a cop from the Northwest who's daughter has been seduced by a vampire named Edward.
Means: Santa Clarita Choral Festival. Chayse is in the choir at school and they performed in this wonderful concert on April 29th. There were 2 other middle schools, half a dozen high schools and 2 colleges that also performed. It was a really great show! Chayse is the 4th one from the left in the second row from the bottom.
