I am so touched by so many blessing during this trying time. I'll never adequately be able to express my feelings. I'll never be able to truly thank those who have gone out of their way to help us. I'll never be able to thank everyone who has touched our hearts so dearly this last week. Our Church Family has been amazing, but my LAPD Family has been equally so. Those who have been with us through this ordeal have also been amazed at the LAPD Families show of love. What really stands out is that most employers would be more concerned with when you're coming back to work. Not once has anyone asked me this. I have received daily calls from captains, commanders and chiefs within the Department, all concerned about Emalee's well-being. I, and my family, have been so touched by this outreach, sometimes by those I have never met before. My immediate work family has continued to shine, I am so fortunate to work with so wonderful a group and such an outstanding organization. We are truly a family and I am so blessed to be part of it.
